Kensington is a beautiful district, famous for Kensington Palace and its Gardens. The area has much more to offer and invites exploration.
When heading to Kensington, start with a wander through the beautiful gardens, such as the picturesque Italian Gardens near Lancaster Gate, thought to have been created by Prince Albert for Queen Victoria.
Next, you’ll be wandering across the lake to discover the bustle of Hyde Park. West of Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park offers wide green spaces and hosts regular events. In the summer, spend your day there and enjoy live entertainment.
Finally, another great location to explore in the city is the National History Museum, located in South Kensington, just off Kensington Gardens is a building home to a great amount of history and beautiful architecture. You can easily spend a day exploring the site, with convenient cafes and an excellent gift shop; it's a great way to learn about surrounding cultures.
